GV Lions Club

Who are Lions?

Lions are groups of service-minded individuals who are interested in improving their communities. To be a Lion is to be an active volunteer, a member of a respected international organization, a leader in the community, and a friend to people in need.

The 1.4 million members that serve in over 45.000 clubs from over 200 countries make Lions Clubs International the world’s largest service club organization.

Lions Serve

Lions service is as diverse as its members. Lions volunteer for many different kinds of projects, such as caring for the environment, feeding the hungry, aiding seniors and the disabled, and sponsoring international exchanges for young people.

Lions Make a Difference

Lions move to make a difference locally and globally. Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), the official charitable organization of Lions Clubs International, supports Lions’ compassionate works by providing grant funding for their local and global humanitarian efforts. Together, Lions and LCIF actively work to eradicate blindness, support youth, provide disaster relief, and address humanitarian needs.
